About the Program
What is 础础鲍鈥檚 B.A. in International Relations?
The B.A. in International Relations (Major) program at Anglo-American University is taught by a range of experts from all over the world that bring years of professional experience to the classroom. Students develop a solid foundation in international relations theory, global politics, philosophy, and domestic politics through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
The curriculum combines international relations theory, politics, philosophy, economics, and history with practical courses in writing, research, and foreign languages.

Beyond the classroom, being part of Student Council gave me the opportunity to build lasting friendships and become more involved in the university community. Beyond the classroom, students can join student clubs like Diplomacy or Model UN, practice debate skills at a faculty-student debate or discuss current political issues with professors and local experts at an event like 鈥楶rofessors in the Pub鈥�.

Program Structure
How Does the B.A. in International Relations Work?
Complete a three-year bachelor’s degree in international relations while earning qualifications recognized in both the United States and the Czech Republic. To graduate, students must accumulate 90 US credits (180 ECTS credits) by completing at least 30 courses including an internship and a thesis.
This program does not include a specific concentration, instead, students are required to take more major courses which allow for more choice of electives.
For the International Relations (Major) program, the following minors are available:

- Visual Arts Studies
- Psychology
- European and International Legal Studies
Having passed all the required and elective courses, students complete their studies by taking the graduation examination which includes a state exam covering the contents of the major module, a state exam covering the concentration module, and a thesis defense.

Is the B.A. in International Relations Recognized Internationally?
The Bachelor鈥檚 degree awarded is concurrently recognized as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in the United States, per 础础鲍鈥檚 accreditation by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, and as a Bakal谩艡 (Bc.) in the Czech Republic, per 础础鲍鈥檚 accreditation by the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NABHE). Graduates may select whether to use the U.S. post-nominal or the Czech pre-nominal title.
