On October 7, 2023, Hamas led armed attacks on the Israeli military and civilians resulting in over 1,000 Israeli deaths. Israel responded with a military campaign against Hamas that has resulted in over 75,000 Palestinian deaths, according to the WHO. In addition to the massive casualties, the war has created a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. What are the conditions of this humanitarian crisis? How has a year of cease-fire impacted things? How do aid organizations function in such situations? Come discuss these questions and ask your own.
The lead professor will be Tom谩拧 Bendl, Director of the Czech Office of Doctors Without Borders and SIRD Alumnus.
